Hiking Trails and Mountain Bike Trails

The USFS keeps miles of well maintained mountain bike and hiking trails.  The Lakeshore Trail begins just a few minutes from Grandview Resort and goes all the way to the Upper Priest Lake.  There are many View Points along the way with wild flowers and, if you are there at the right time of year, you will be able to pick some  huckleberries along the way!

Just 17 miles from Grandview Resort there is a unique grove of cedars called the Roosevelt Grove of Ancient Cedars and Granite Falls, named for President Theodore Roosevelt.  He established  our country's national park system.

This beautiful grove is officially designated a scenic area.  These cedar trees have been standing for 800 to 2,000 years!

The lower falls come cascading over a sheer rock wall with a thunderous roar.   Take the one mile loop trail that takes you up the hillside in a series of switchbacks to viewpoints of both the upper and lower falls.  Notice the plants and wildflowers that are native to North Idaho.

There are many well-kept trails in the area. When you arrive, just ask for a free trail map!

Unbelievable Snowmobiling

Grandview has open suites and cottages during the Winter months. Bring your own snowmobile or rent from one of several shops that deliver right to our door. There are hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails or hop off the trail and head over the mountain top!
